SO this song has been stuck in my head lately…

Idk if other writers do this but the minute I heard it I thought of the characters from the novel I’m getting ready to put up on amazon.  I know it’s sappy…but oh my gosh…can you just ship your own characters really hard??  They give me a lot of feelings.

It sounds silly to say that about characters I created, but it’s true.  They are my otp of all my novels. And his song fits them and it made me cry.

Michael Giacchino
“Moving On”
Lost (2010)

Not much to say except this is one of the more emotionally wrenching pieces of original music ever written for the small screen.  Giacchino’s final love letter to the series, marrying the soft voices of piano and strings and not much else, is a proper sendoff indeed.

Learn Me Right- Birdy (with Mumford & Sons)

Holy buckets. I can die happy now.

If this is any indication, I will be in love with this movie and its soundtrack.

I am prepared to be swept away.

Downton Abbey

I miss this show.  When I hear the the title theme (because it’s on one of the playlists I use around my kiddos), I have this feeling of impending drama.  And I miss the feeling of “holy crap, what is going to happen THIS time??”

I play this song at least once a day at work…I work with kids & I like to use instrumental music, especially during homework time.

Whenever this comes on, I sigh really big and have to repress the urge to shush everyone so I can replay the whole scene in my head.
